Children's Voice

Our children are blessed with the unique ability to view life in a different way.  Children are truly "seeing things" for the first time... experiencing the world as only you can through the eyes of a child. We as adults find that their words and actions are often not only precious and memorable, but thought -provoking and meaningful as well.

We invite you to read the sayings, actions and stories about our children.  We hope that they will inspire you as a parent, enrich your day with added joy, and cause you to reflect on the special qualities of your own family as we journey together through parenthood.

*I was just pulling into the driveway after coming home from the grocery store.  Not much else was on my mind but getting my groceries unloaded and figuring out what to make for lunch for my two kids.. Alex ( just turned 3) and Savannah (18 months) before naptime.  As I turned the car off I heard my sons voice from the backseat.. and what he said made me pause for reflection.  He had not said anything for several minutes until that moment, when he said:  "Mama, I'm growing into a man."

---Lara, mom to Alex, Savannah, and due with baby Nicole in September

* My little 2 1/2 year old girl was busy looking out the car window at all the other cars passing by.  As we stopped at the stoplight I noticed her looking intently at the car next to us.  Then she said "Look Mama, that car needs to take a bath."

---Sherry, mom to Renee (2 1/2) and Rashelle (3 1/2)

* My 2 year old little girl was playing with me on the floor when she put her ear to my stomach.  I asked what she was doing and she answered "I'm listening for excuse-me's!"

---Danielle, proud mama to Ashlyn (3), Barrett (5), Taylor (7) and Jourdan (10).
